DotFam NetHome, as a non-profit association, seeks to improve the family’s institutional presence and experience on the Internet.
With the aim of being an international reference for families on the Internet, we promote actions that facilitate the development and promotion of this institution.
Currently, we are developing the NetHome platform: a space that will facilitate family management from the Internet.
To create an active community of families, professionals and other entities that will optimize the experience and institutional presence of the family on the Internet.
To incentivize and develop actions and projects that will facilitate an excellent relationship between families and new technologies.
To make sure that all the NH/Df content is safe, secure and apt for all families and children.
Improve online family management, optimizing organization, communication and quality of life.
To achieve a family-orientated Internet.
To construct a dynamic Internet site for families.
Encourage the creation and development of technological homes: a Cloud platform using the latest Web architecture for families.
Safeguard the rights, interests and individuality of each family member in a virtual environment.
To ensure the rights and protection of minors, using the necessary security measures while optimizing technology.
Integrate new technologies to both meet the families’ needs and to facilitate interaction with other social agents.
Include all necessary protocols to secure the privacy and safekeeping of the family’s information.
Responsibility, transparency, and honesty in the development, management and all activities of DotFam, NetHome.

Dotfam is established with the objective of forming an international presence for all families via the .fam domain (on the same level as .com .org .edu etc).
This early stage involved building a case, making contacts, and developing the organization.
We attended the 28th International ICANN meeting in Lisbon. We received much positive feedback re: our concept. Furthermore, we did an exhaustive study on the application of technology in the familial sphere. .
The organization is made up of a Board of Directors and the Steering Committee and the project is presented to the Department of Social Affairs, Family, Youth and Sport of the Government of Navarra.
The Ministry of the Interior approves the organization and Web development begins. We attend another International ICANN conference- the 32nd, in Paris
Full speed ahead! We roll out our project in Switzerland, Italy and Germany, as well as make contacts with Spanish companies such as Telefonica, ECI, La Caixa and Imaginarium.
We attend ICANN conferences in Mexico and Sydney, Australia.
We take on the role of representing the family in various international conferences- amongst them ICANN Brussels.
ICANN publishes the list of requests for new domains. Three companies are interested in acquiring a high level domain for families: (.family):

We concentrate on providing content to the family domain by creating a technological home, integrating new technologies.
The project is presented on Google Madrid. Google agrees to support the non profit project..
DOTFAM NETHOME is registered as a legal entity with the Spanish government. We start developing both the platform and applications orientated towards families and minors.
Our goal is to launch the first online family management system by November 2018.
We are a group of 20 volunteers who are passionate about the family and new technologies. However, in DotFam NetHome, we still need more like minded people in the different areas of the Association. Therefore, we are looking for people who want to collaborate in the different areas of our association. We want the association to grow and for YOU to join us!
